Yup, that’s me. I suppose I’m the editor in chief of this outfit, but it isn’t as glamorous as it sounds. I don’t even get a fancy hat! I’ve made plenty of mistakes during my career as a professional homeowner and I sincerely hope that you learn from my experiences and, OK, have a laugh or two at my expense.

Shannon is a teacher, freelance writer and mother of four boys who only seems to be happy if she as at least one remodeling project in progress. Although she grew up with a father that doesn’t believe in hiring someone else to complete any home improvement project, she does occassionally trust her projects to the professionals. For all other projects, however, it only takes a little determination (and sometimes several months!) to get the job done.
