Blind-sided

My husband and I were adamant do-it-yourselfers with our first house. We painted walls, installed ceiling fans and light fixtures, replaced door hardware, landscaped the backyard and finished off our garage. There was one house project we fell miserably short on completing. Installing wood blinds throughout our house. This was one time we knew we were in over our heads and called the professionals. Treegator Watering Bags

Moving into a new neighborhood, our yard and landscaping was young and sparse. The shrubbery, small and newly planted, outlined the perimeter of our house. The trees reached only a few feet tall. I’ve never had a green thumb; in fact, I once killed a cactus. I knew I’d need some guidance to keep these plants alive and thriving in the Texas heat.

Faux Painting

When my husband and I purchased our first home, we became the painters, yard service and handymen. We didn’t have the extra money to hire someone to do a job we were capable of doing ourselves. However, neither of us had more experience than changing light bulbs and planting flowers for the porch of our apartment. We quickly got a taste of what it means to own a home. (more…)
