I don’t consider myself to be a shy or introverted person, but when it comes to calling service professionals I become nervous.  I’m not sure why it happens, I just don’t like calling them.  It seems here lately I’ve had many opportunities to face this particular demon head on.  I’m a school teacher, which allows me to have my summers off.  Somehow it seems that all of our home improvements fall during the summer, and obviously I’m the one to handle them seeing as I’m home. When we were looking for our house, I was never bothered by the hideous wallpaper that I would see on the walls.  I always thought to myself, “No problem, I can just remove it and paint”.  So, about 6 months after we moved into our first house, I happily chose which wall I would spruce up first.  I decided to choose a small wall in the kitchen.  I researched what to do on the internet, and headed out to the local hardware store to get all of my supplies.  I purchased a tool to perforate the wallpaper and some solution to disolve the glue.
