Blind-sided

My husband and I were adamant do-it-yourselfers with our first house. We painted walls, installed ceiling fans and light fixtures, replaced door hardware, landscaped the backyard and finished off our garage. There was one house project we fell miserably short on completing. Installing wood blinds throughout our house. This was one time we knew we were in over our heads and called the professionals. Backing Up Your Snacks

With the help of my kitchen remodeling project, I have actually managed to install more cabinets in my kitchen that I really have a need for.  Don’t get me wrong, I am 100% confident in my abilities to ultimately fill each and every one of those cabinets.  But, for now, I have some cabinets that have gone completely unused and I don’t have anything that needs to go inside of them. Remodeling: Not For the Faint Hearted

Our first and last remodel job was a little one bedroom, one bathroom single story house built in the 50’s. It was in a quiet neighborhood near schools and, my mom and dad owned it. That was a big plus because my husband and I could buy with ideal terms and zero down payment. We turned that house into a three bedroom home with a daylight basement and turned ourselves grey doing it.
